Did you nice today?

This concept was inspired from unfortunate break in my right hand. During the time things were going really tough until people around me began displaying light gestures of compassion and opened my eyes to the power in kindness.

My project began with a substantial amount of research in the realm of happiness, kindness, and holistic teachings. I wanted to deliver a message in a unique manner that individuals would appreciate and value.

Gift's are a universal gesture– fitting for the expression I wanted to evoke I decided to create small origami boxes to give away. The boxes would subsequently have three smaller boxes encapsulated within one another like a Russian-doll. They would be given to one person who then would give the next box, and so on. Once inside, small flaps would open where small sleeves with different acts of kindness were described. At the bottom of each box individual messages read: 'very little is need for a happy life', 'start where you are. use what you have. do what you can', and 'one of the most difficult things to give away is kindness, it is usually returned'. No box was alike.

My gifts were a success as they got spread around during the show. Colleagues reached out to me on Facebook posting images of my poster and tagging friends getting my message across to countless people.
